Short answer

Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 March, or 10 March in some places. Start Eid gift and outfit ads around mid-Ramadan, push hardest in the last ten nights with honest delivery cut-offs, keep Eid day itself to a greeting, then use the following two weeks to thank buyers, gather genuine reviews and plan for Eid al-Adha.

Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 March, so your Eid gift and outfit ads belong in the two to three weeks before, from about 22 February. Your Eid campaign has three parts: gift and outfit ads during the second half of Ramadan, a firm finish built around real delivery cut-offs, and a follow-up in the fortnight after Eid that most small brands skip.

This guide covers the timing, ideas for gift and outfit creative, sample copy and what to run once Eid is over.

When is Eid al-Fitr 2027 expected?

Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 March, according to the Fiqh Council of North America calculation published by moonsighting.com. UAE astronomers quoted by Khaleej Times expect 9 March too, or 10 March if the crescent is not sighted on the evening of 8 March.

In the UK, many mosques follow local sighting, so Eid can fall a day after the calculated date. Customers in the same city may celebrate on different days. Avoid creative that depends on a single fixed date, and say "before Eid" alongside the exact delivery date.

When should Eid ads start?

Start Eid gift and outfit ads around the middle of Ramadan, about 22 February for 2027, and spend most in the last ten nights. People need time to choose, order and receive, and outfits often need a second try for size.

Dates (2027)What to run
15 to 21 FebruarySoft launch: Eid lookbook, gift guide, size guides
22 February to 4 MarchMain push: gift and outfit ads, retargeting of product viewers

9 to 11 MarchEid greeting, no hard selling
12 to 23 MarchThank-you, reviews, restocks, Eid al-Adha planning

How do you set honest delivery cut-offs?

Work back from Eid using each courier's own service times, then add a day for packing. Publish the date, not a vague promise.

Worked example (made-up brand). Amber & Oud, a UK attar shop, uses two delivery services.

ServiceCourier's stated timeLast order date for Eid on 9 March
Standard (2 to 3 working days)3 working days plus 1 day to packTuesday 2 March (arrives Monday 8 March)
Next day1 working day plus same-day packingFriday 5 March, before noon (arrives Monday 8 March)
InternationalCheck per countrySet separately, usually a week or more earlier

If Eid falls on 10 March in some communities, those customers get an extra day, but the 9 March date keeps everyone safe. Under the UK CAP Code, marketers "must not falsely state" that a product or its terms will be available only for a limited time (rule 3.30, ASA). A real cut-off is a fact, so state it plainly. A countdown clock that resets every day is not.

What are good Eid gift ad ideas?

The best Eid gift ads make choosing easy. Group products by price or by recipient, show what is in the box, and offer help.

  • Gift guides by budget: under £15, under £30, under £50. One ad per price band.
  • Gift guides by recipient: for children, for hosts, for parents, for colleagues.
  • Ready-made bundles: attar with a gift box, dates with a serving plate, a book with a bookmark.
  • Eid money envelopes and cards, advertised before the last ten nights.
  • "Message us for a gift idea" ads that open a chat.

That last idea has support. In a Meta study with YouGov, reported by Arab News, 60% of Saudi and 71% of UAE shoppers said personalised product and gift suggestions make Ramadan shopping easier, and 65% in Saudi Arabia and 67% in the UAE felt more connected to a brand through instant messaging during Ramadan and Eid. The figures are from two Gulf markets, so test the idea in yours rather than assuming it carries over.

What makes a good Eid outfit ad?

Outfit ads should answer the questions that stop people buying: size, length, fabric, opacity and arrival date. A beautiful photo without those details sends buyers to your DMs or away.

  • Show one outfit per ad, on a plain background or a model in modest dress, whichever imagery standard you have chosen.
  • Put the length or size range in the headline: "Eid abayas in four lengths".
  • Add the order-by date in the primary text.
  • Offer family or sibling sets as a separate ad.

What should you post on Eid day?

Post a short greeting from your brand on Eid day and pause hard-sell ads. A simple "Eid Mubarak from all of us at Amber & Oud" is warm and enough.

Keep the greeting and any offer apart. The UK's ASA says religious imagery or language "may be considered acceptable, provided it is not mocking or disrespectful", but ads that "seem to exploit religious imagery for purely commercial purposes can be problematic" (ASA). If you are local and can still deliver, a separate ad for same-day collection is fine.

On Meta, avoid copy that tells the viewer they are Muslim or celebrating. Meta's Advertising Standards say ads "must not contain content that asserts or implies personal attributes", including religion (Meta). "Eid Mubarak from our family to yours" is about you. "Celebrating Eid? Treat yourself" is about the viewer.

What should you do after Eid?

Run a two-week follow-up from about 12 to 23 March. This is where you turn Eid buyers into repeat customers.

  1. Thank buyers. A short message or email thanking them for their order, with no offer attached.
  2. Ask for genuine reviews. Ask every buyer, not only happy ones, and do not offer rewards for positive reviews. The CAP Code bans fake consumer reviews and requires you to make clear where reviews were incentivised (rules 3.44 and 3.45, ASA). In the US, the FTC's rule bans fake reviews and testimonials, including AI-generated ones, and buying reviews tied to a particular sentiment (FTC).
  3. Tell people about restocks. Sizes or scents that sold out before Eid can be advertised to the people who viewed them.
  4. Retarget unfinished baskets with an honest message, such as "Your basket is saved. Now delivering in 2 days."
  5. Avoid fake "last chance" offers. An end-of-Eid sale is fine if it really ends on the date you state.
  6. Plan for Eid al-Adha, expected around 16 May 2027. Write down what sold, what ran out and which ads worked while it is fresh.

Follow-up ads go to a smaller, warmer audience who already know you, so they need less budget than your Eid push.

Example Eid ad copy

These are examples for made-up brands. Use them as patterns, and swap in your own products, prices and dates.

Outfit"Eid abayas in four lengths""Lined crepe, 52 to 60 inches. Free returns within 14 days. Order by 2 March for Eid."
Message ad"Not sure what to give?""Tell us who it is for and your budget. We will suggest three gifts."
After cut-off"Too late for delivery?""Send an e-gift card instantly, or collect from our Bradford shop until 8pm on 8 March."

Post-Eid"Back in stock""The rose attar sold out before Eid. It is back, in 6ml and 12ml."

Adrizq can draft ads like these from your product pages and flags lines such as invented countdowns or unsupported claims before you publish.

How do Eid campaigns differ by country?

Eid is one festival with many customs. In Malaysia it is Hari Raya Aidilfitri and in Indonesia it is Lebaran, each with its own traditions, language and travel patterns; see Hari Raya and Lebaran ads. In the UK, the think tank Equi estimates Ramadan's economic impact at £1.3 billion a year, including about £640 million in retail spending such as Eid clothing and gifts (Equi). There is no separate published Eid-only figure for the UK. Plan around your own past sales rather than national totals.

Your Eid 2027 checklist

  1. Confirm stock of gift and outfit lines by early February.
  2. Set and publish a last order date per delivery service, working back from 9 March.
  3. Launch gift guides and outfit ads around 15 to 22 February.
  4. Prepare after-cut-off ads for gift cards, collection or local delivery.
  5. Write one Eid greeting with no offer attached.
  6. Schedule thank-you messages and review requests for 12 March onward.
  7. Note what sold out and start Eid al-Adha planning for mid-May.

Frequently asked questions

When is Eid al-Fitr in 2027?

Eid al-Fitr 2027 is expected on Tuesday 9 March 2027, based on the Fiqh Council of North America calculation published on moonsighting.com. UAE astronomers say it may be 10 March if the crescent is not sighted on 8 March, and UK communities that follow local sighting may also celebrate a day later. Confirm with your local mosque or community.

How early should I start Eid ads?

Start Eid gift and outfit ads around the middle of Ramadan, about 15 to 22 February for 2027, and spend most in the last ten nights. Customers need time to choose, order, receive and sometimes exchange sizes. Set a published last order date for each delivery service and switch to gift cards or collection once it passes.

What can I post on Eid day as a business?

A short Eid Mubarak greeting from your brand works well on the day, without an offer attached. Keep any sales ad separate, and on Meta avoid copy that tells the viewer they are Muslim or celebrating, because Meta's rules ban ads that assert or imply personal attributes such as religion. Local businesses can run a separate same-day collection ad.

Is an Eid countdown timer allowed in ads?

A countdown is fine if it counts down to a real deadline, such as your last order date for delivery before Eid, and you keep to it. The UK CAP Code says marketers must not falsely state that an offer is available only for a limited time. A timer that resets, or an offer that continues after it ends, breaks that rule.

What should I do with my ads after Eid?

Run a short follow-up for about two weeks: thank buyers, ask every buyer for an honest review without rewarding positive ones, advertise restocks to people who viewed sold-out items and retarget saved baskets with an honest message. Then note what sold and start planning for Eid al-Adha, expected around 16 May 2027.
